Illustrator

 I like how Illustrator is almost a simplified version of Photoshop and used to create any shape or design. I think of Illustrator as the digital design photoshop software. The fact that you can easily change the shape from a triangle to 4 different types at 1:55 of stars just like that proves that its better than Dreamweaver.  The pen tool tutorial explains how easily shapes and curves can be drawn. At times I feel like it can be tedious but the video showed it well. Its interesting to see how the color changed from green to white and how elaborate you can make designs in the studio.  The manual editing tricks that are shown will definitely be useful when I go to start editing in Illustrator. 

Internet v.s. The Web

  The internet was invented by two men by the names of Robert E. Kahn and Vint Cerf on January 1, 1983. The internet is defined by Merriam-Webster as “a system that connects computer throughout the world. The original computer system was known as ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network). This was done by a process called packet switching which allowed multiple computers to communicate on a single network.     The web is defined by Merriam-Webster as “the part of the internet that can be looked at with a special program (called a browser)”.  The web was created by a British scientist by the name of Tim Berners-Lee. It was developed for the purpose of information sharing between scientists and various other institutions around the world.
