Business Cards

Image
9 This project started off fairly easy but eventually became more difficult when it came to importing images such as logos and icons. The tag brush logo was probably the most difficult thing to import because I had to constantly change the color scheme of the logo to match each business card.                                                                                            Original sketches Here are the cards I saw on Behance and gained inspiration from.                                                                       Here are all of the final business cards: This set did not really come out how I initially envisioned it, I wanted to do a silver/chrome look on the gray but did not finish making the gradient for it, so it just looks bland.  Probably my favorite set of cards, not really sure why the boxes are messed on on the PDF print out.

Adobe InDesign

9 Personally, InDesign is probably the easiest Adobe Suite product there is to use.  The tools in InDesign are similar to every other adobe platform but the ways they can be used, and the functions they have can differ from the other platforms we have used. The type and text tools are A LOT easier to use and create various words in the project. InDesign has a great feature of being able to lock different parts of a project by clicking CTRL + L to lock an object easily which can ensure that the image you are working with has some parts that do not move even when you move the rest of the image. I think that InDesign will allow me a lot of creative tools to complete various projects since the platform is fairly simple to use and easy to edit  Tutorial Links: Beginning - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMXZj6lrAsc Tricks and Tips - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVW8AF2TMnw Third video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8hbUeuB5nM

Somewhere

7 So I enjoyed this project because not only could I use one of my favorite television shows, but I was able to use pictures I took on halloween and utilize my halloween costume. Overall, adding my image to the actual image in place of the main character Thomas Shelby was quite difficult as I had trouble getting my body to look proportionate to the rest of the characters in the image. Then I had the difficulty of getting the brightness and contrast to match the rest of the image and overall feel of the picture. While the editing was somewhat tedious,  I believe it worked out in the end.

Pre Somewhere Posts

6 Pre Somewhere Assignment 1. So the second photo I really like because there are random celebrities photoshopped in the photo as well. Also The first photo would be difficult to photoshop myself into simply because the skin tones are so different that it would be very difficult to change it.  https://www.instagram.com/kirbyjenner/?hl=en 2. This image inspired me to post in a solid scene in a show because his entire outfit, demeanor, what he's doing, and the way he was sitting all match what would happen in this show. For my project I plan on matching the same demeanor that is going on in whichever photo I choose. https://www.instagram.com/averagerob/ 3. The only edit that I truly laughed at was surprisingly the last one because the unedited picture is funny itself because he does look uncomfortable and just awkward standing there. And as a result the edit with the towel over his face is funny because it almost embodies his facial expression.  https://www.boredpanda.com/funny-photo

5 For my project I decided to use a photo that I took while at dinner in New York City. I think that this photo worked well because I was able to add an aerial view shot of the New York city skyline to my shirt and the blue stripes in my shirt blended fairly well to the blue in the sky. I attempted to add the empire state building to make it look like it was coming out of my hair, but I did not really like the blend. Despite this the term "Empire state of mind" comes to mind as I have plans of working in the city following graduation and I have several ties to city already.  Original Photo Edited Version

Black To White

Black and White  My Project gave me some initial trouble as I wanted to do shades, compound and complementary but I had to switch the shades for triad since I was having difficulty. I like the colors that are portrayed in the triad piece.  Here was my attempt at the shades edit: Here is the original B&W and Original color photo:

Brush Tags

For this project I was able to edit my original black and white log using the brush tool to create a logo tag. The blending of the colors and the ability to distort my original logo has definitely enhanced the project.
