Somewhere

So I enjoyed this project because not only could I use one of my favorite television shows, but I was able to use pictures I took on halloween and utilize my halloween costume. Overall, adding my image to the actual image in place of the main character Thomas Shelby was quite difficult as I had trouble getting my body to look proportionate to the rest of the characters in the image. Then I had the difficulty of getting the brightness and contrast to match the rest of the image and overall feel of the picture. While the editing was somewhat tedious,  I believe it worked out in the end.

  1. Dan, nice editing! Your outfit totally matches the surrounding characters and it does appear that you are standing on the gravel. I think you did a really good job with this assignment but maybe you could have made yourself a little larger but overall really great job.

  2. Dan, I think you did a really good job at editing yourself into this picture. It must have been hard to edit the main character out and then replace him with you, but overall, the editing is very good. I would not know that there was someone else there before. I also think you did a good job at editing your logo tag into the ground.

  3. Dan, this is probably my favorite project I've seen for the somewhere project. The editing looks great, and it looks so realistic. What you did with the lighting, the cropping, and pretty much everything is so spot on. This looks pretty hard to plan, but I think it turned out well in the end. Good job!

  4. Dan, you really nailed it here. I remember how much the teacher liked your work in class as well. My favorite part is how you made your tag brush look like a manhole cover, it was very creative. I have never even seen this T.V. show but I am definitely going to watch an episode now. Great work.

  5. Hey Dan! I think you did an awesome job editing yourself into your movie. The effort to dress up really enhanced your work. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed and on top of that, you did a great job with photoshopping. The final outcome on your project looks like real deal.

  6. Dan, this is a super cool somewhere project. I love the show choice and the outfit truly matches the shows aesthetic. It also took me a few looks to find you in the picture which meant you really did a good job. Everything down to the lighting to match the frame worked really well.

  7. The editing is really nice here. While having those clothes is amazing in of itself, your ability to alter the lighting on yourself to match the photo is well done. The street is unevenly blurred in sections, and the angle of your footing is off from your surroundings, but if the image was cropped to cut off the from the ankle, these minor things would disappear and the picture would look pretty natural otherwise. Your cropping is really well done.
